Edible & Medicinal Weeds of Reno / Tahoe - Eat Your Invasives!

Although someone apparently forgot to tell the weather, we hope folks are enjoying the official start of Spring! With the rise in temps, we finally have some plants poking out through the frigid soil. Unfortunately (or for us…fortunately), many of these early risers are some of our most opportunistic "weeds" and invasive plants.

What You'll Learn

During this walk, we will learn to of these identify some of our most common weedy plants while discussing their plethora of edible and medicinal uses. In our own home, the weeds we collect in our yard, neighborhood and nearby parks make up a substantial amount of the greens we consume throughout the year. As winter begins to subside, we can hardly wait for the spring bounty that awaits us around every corner!

Cost

Cost is a $25 recommended donation per person; however, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
